Ruskin Bond is one of India’s most creative and beloved authors who has had quite an impact on the little readers and connected them closer to life in the hills with his stories. While growing up, we would have all come across his works or stories in our textbooks or libraries! 

Ruskin Bond is a British-born Indian novelist who is well-known in India for his contributions to the fostering of children’s literacy. He is a wonderful writer who has written over 50 children’s books and two autobiographies.

A lot of his stories are around environmental preservation,  the importance of planting trees, and preserving wildlife which are excellent lessons for children.
